Vehicle graphics need not consist solely of a logo and contact details. An original character, illustration or pattern can become the main element.

How the drawing appears across the vehicle matters as much as the illustration itself. Artwork for a notebook page and a vehicle body face different placement conditions.

How is a story or character defined? A personal interest, brand world or abstract idea can provide a starting point. Explain what the design should communicate and which elements are unwanted.

Using an existing character and developing a new one are different scopes. The latter may require more design decisions. Verify rights before adapting another illustration. Make the purpose of references clear.

Pattern or one focal image? An image concentrated on one area and a repeat extending across surfaces produce different appearances. Assess the choice with the body, existing colour and expectations.

With a pattern, check continuity at door joints. With a single character, the position of the face, expression and key details becomes important. Every surface need not be filled.

What determines the drawing’s scale? Consider close details and the whole vehicle together. An enlarged drawing on a small screen does not fully explain its scale in use.

Assess front, rear and side views. Body curves and equipment affect perception. Design approval is not technical proof that the work can be physically applied.

How are rights and file delivery discussed? State whether the illustration will be used only on the vehicle or in other promotions. Clarify source files, model adaptations and future changes within the scope.

Design, production files and physical application are separate stages. Do not promise a specific film or painting service before confirming availability. Include the installer’s requirements in the design process.

What should you share first? Start with vehicle details, current photographs, the idea to communicate and intended uses. Describe your original illustration idea on WhatsApp. Discuss the approach and design scope with Graffiti Ankara.
