Motorcycle surfaces are divided into smaller parts and seen from different directions. Graphics on a tank, fairings and other panels can be assessed separately, but their relationship across the whole bike matters too.
Specify the parts involved at the outset. This guide concerns concept and graphic design; it does not imply that airbrushing, wrapping, dismantling or mechanical work is included.
Must graphics continue between parts? Continuing a line across several surfaces and giving each part its own focus are different design decisions. One close-up photograph cannot show their overall relationship.
Share front, rear and side views. Mention planned component changes or additional equipment at the start, so the existing condition used for design is clear.
How is the tank composition assessed? Curves, joins and an existing logo influence placement. Discuss how top and side views will connect.
A generic model drawing found online may not capture the real part's features. Verify dimensions and current photographs before production files are prepared. Design approval does not establish physical suitability.
How does a personal theme become original artwork? Abstract lines, colour accents, original figures and lettering can provide a starting point. Explain which aspects of your references you like.
Rather than repeating another motorcycle's design, develop an approach suited to your bike and preferences. Check rights if logos or images from other artworks are proposed.
How is physical application treated separately? Clarify the method, preparation and applicator's responsibilities. The required files and coordination with production partners form part of the quotation.
Qualified people should confirm technical, regulatory and operational suitability. The design brief does not establish a particular paint, protective coating or durability guarantee. Protective equipment such as helmets should not be included automatically within a bodywork graphics enquiry.
