A preschool or nursery play area mural should be considered alongside the institution’s everyday use of the space. Play equipment, shelves and activity corners affect the visible composition.

The aim is not to fill every surface with figures. Develop an original visual approach around what the institution wants to communicate and how it uses the area.

How is a theme chosen with the institution? Nature, imaginary worlds and original characters provide possible starting points. The same theme can have different drawing styles and levels of detail. Include the education team’s preferences and age groups in the brief.

Do not claim that a mural guarantees improved learning or development. Define the artwork’s purpose through visual storytelling and its relationship to the space. Educational assessments belong to the institution’s specialist team.

How do viewing height and furniture matter? An adult’s standing view differs from the part seen at a child’s height. Check whether important elements will be hidden behind toy cupboards or other equipment.

Share general photographs, close surface views and the current layout together. A drawing of an empty wall cannot by itself explain its appearance during use.

What if letters and numbers are included? The institution should approve the content and language of any text, letters or numbers. Distinguish decorative elements from information intended to be read.

Verify rights to existing characters. Original illustrations developed for the institution are another option. Explaining what you like about a reference can be more useful than copying another school’s photograph exactly.

How are working conditions established? Explain expected contact, cleaning, existing finishes and daily use. Confirm product suitability and conditions for reopening with technical information and a qualified installer.

Plan preparation and separation from users with the institution. Address permission for sharing and using any photographs containing children’s faces or personal information.

What helps the first conversation? Start with age groups, use, approximate dimensions, photographs, theme expectations and a target period. These examples do not claim that Graffiti Ankara has worked at a particular preschool.

Share your institution’s space on WhatsApp. Projects outside Ankara are considered according to scope and site conditions.
